I am Martin Zalesny, an abstract artist living and working in the Costa Brava, Spain. My paintings are inspired by the Mediterranean coastline, the Pyrenees mountains, and the raw textures of nature. Each canvas is a journey — a balance of color, light, and layered materials that reflect both the harmony and intensity of my environment.
From Inspiration to Canvas
The Mediterranean light, the changing blues of the sea, and the earthy tones of the Catalan landscape shape my visual language. I work with acrylics, oils, and mixed media, often incorporating copper, sand, and clay to create tactile surfaces that echo the rugged coastline and mountain paths.

A Personal Journey
After many years in the UK, I followed my lifelong dream of dedicating myself fully to art in Spain. My studio in Llafranc is where I experiment with color, form, and texture — creating original abstract paintings and fine art prints that connect collectors to the beauty of the Mediterranean.
